The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the Death of Mrs. Doralese Tipton, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away on March 26, 2011 at her home following an extended illness.Born in Fannin County, GA she was the daughter of the late John Elias and Stella Crawford Mosley. She was a retired Bookkeeper for the Gulf Oil Company. She was a member of the Morganton Baptist Church. Mrs. Tipton served as secretary and treasurer of both the Fannin County Democratic Club and the Heritage Foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Tipton.
Survivors include two daughters Libby Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA and Lynne Tipton of Kennesaw, GA; two sisters Ann Postell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren, Brandon Patterson and Josh Patterson both of Blue Ridge, GA; Becky Beaver of Tifton, GA; one great grandchild Shelby Patterson of Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Tipton was cremated and services will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements.
