Dorothy Mae Pullium, age 93 of Andrews, NC, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Valley View Care Center in Andrews.NC to the late James and Gertrude Brown. Mrs. Pullium was a member of Valley River Baptist Church in Andrews, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and raising flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chess Pullium in 1973, daughter, Savonne Mathis and son, Daniel Pullium.
Survivors include: sons, Dean Pullium, Dale Pullium, David Pullium, Darrell Pullium, Dillard Pullium, daughters, Sharon Guffey, Shirley Tatham, Sheila Lumb, sixteen grandschildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 at 4:00PM from the Valley River Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Tatham and Rev. Roy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, March 4th from 2-4 PM, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy. You may send condolences to the family and sign the guest register at www.cochranfuneralhomes.com.
