The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Gale Robin Hancock, age 74, a resident of Doraville, GA for thirty years who passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Atlanta, GA.Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ansel and Lora Ryder Rogers. She was a member of the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Chamblee, GA and was a self employed Professional Nanny.
She is survived by her husband, Don Hancock of Doraville, GA; six sons, Eric (Diane) Hancock of Atlanta, GA, Brett (Tracy) Hancock of Covington, GA, Aaron Hancock of Doraville, GA, John Hancock of Doraville, GA, Jeff (Amy) Hancock of Cumming, GA, Greg Hancock of Doraville, GA; brother, Percy Rogers; sisters, Sherry Millsaps of Atlanta, GA, Peggy Lillard of Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 19th at 1:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Gary Christensen officiating. Rev. Christensen will also be providing the music. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. Flowers are accepted but donations may be made to the Susan G.
