Practical Faith

Religion

Religion Column written by Dr. Bob Allen:

Today, I want to talk to you about your faith, but I don’t want to do just another faith teaching that won’t  work for you any better than the last one you heard. I want to help you to power up the faith you have. Faith works by love, so then, love will be your power source to walk by faith. You can measure your faith in the Lord by your love for Him. Faith is reaching out with love, and appropriating what has already been spoken and offered to you.

Rom.12:3, Paul said,” For I say, through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, as God hath given to every man the measure of faith.” The Father jump starts all of us in our faith walk. We increase it by learning to listen to His Word, knowing His will, and learning His way.

Gal.3:22 The Apostle Paul said, “The scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith [of] Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”

Paul also said,” I walk by the faith of Christ Jesus.” Faith is not something you get, but something you have when you receive and believe Christ Jesus.  We must learn to receive and live by His faithfulness.

I want you to take a look at Gal.1:3-4.  Paul said,” Grace be to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world; according to the will of God and our Father.” We must change worlds. You have to walk out of this evil world and put no faith in it at all but keep your heart set on the Faithful One, Christ Jesus, and His Kingdom.

Gal. 2:20, Paul said,” I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live; yet not I but Christ lives in me and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith [of] the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” When you believe and trust everything Jesus said and did, and can believe Him for His future promises; you will be full of faith. (although you’re standing in the midst of an evil world)

Rom.10:17, Paul said,” So  then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” You can add to your faith by taking in more of the Word of God. Our big challenge is understanding how faith works and when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us.

Heb.11:1,” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We must work the substance and believe the evidence of something we cannot see. Faith believes what cannot be tasted, touched, seen, heard or smelled.

Faith is a place between A-men, and there it is. I prayed. I believed. I have it.

Faith is what you hold on to until the thing you are praying for comes into your hand.

1 John5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” Faith is Big, Big, Big.

How do you use faith?  Faith does not come from or operate out of the natural realm.

Your spirit touches things of the Spirit. By faith, your spirit touches the supernatural realm.

Your soul, which is your mind, will, and emotion touches the sense realm: reason, thought, feelings, and desires.

Your body touches the five senses: touch, smell, hear, feel, and taste.

The natural man says,” if I see, it I will believe it”. The spiritual man says,” If I believe it, I will see it.” Jesus said, My Word is Spirit, and it is Life. Do you have the Life of the Spirit working In you?

Remember Peter. He was taught perfectly by the Master. He knew everything about Jesus, but when his faith was tested, he failed the test. He said, “I don’t know the man.”  After he walked on water with Jesus, and after twice working with Jesus in feeding multitudes with a few fish and bread, the #1 Jesus school graduate had little faith in the man. Christ Jesus.

When Jesus appeared to His disciples in Galilee, after his resurrection, Matt28:17 says the eleven worshiped, but some doubted. That alone shows you that faith doesn’t come easily. Even the men that were with the Master all the time showed little faith. Jesus said, my Word is Spirit, and it is Life. Faith then comes by hearing His Word.  After Peter was filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit, he was able to tell the lame man,” in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth what I have, give I you, rise and walk.”

Rom.1:11, Paul said, “For I long to see you that I may impart unto you some spiritual gifts to the end you may be established.” This is big because spiritual gifts do not operate out of the natural man. They operate by faith out of the spirit. The natural man’s faith is only in what he can see or control. You have to step out of the natural man into the spirit realm and establish yourself in the spirit to move by faith.

When it comes to the things of God, you can‘t have it unless you can get it by faith.  Without faith, it is impossible to please God. I believe this tells us the more faith we have, the more we can please Him. Tell me, is anything greater than pleasing our wonderful Father?

My friend, if you are trying to walk by faith based on what you have learned without first getting the word down deep in your spirit, you will lose every time!  After you are saved and become a child of God, you must learn to live by faith. The Lord seldom, if ever, responds to pain, suffering, or sorrow. God responds to faith.

Prov.20:27, “The spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord.” God sees what is in your spirit, and he measures your faith from there. How do you think you look? What condition is your spirit? Are you praying every day in the spirit? If so, you should have your spirit built up until you can believe His word. True faith moves the Lord’s, heart. Little faith grieves him.

Gal.5:6,” Faith works by love.” God lavished his love upon you when He took you into His family. He washes your hurting, ugly, sinful life away, and promises you a future and a hope, and a love that lasts forever. My friend, this should make your faith rise and work for you.

Luke 22:31, “Simon, Satan has desired to have you that he may, sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith fails not.” Prayer is the bridge that faith travels over. It is not unusual to doubt your faith, but those who move the kingdom forward, never doubt The Master. You must have faith in all that He says.

Study and learn God’s word. If the Word is not understood, the enemy gobbles it up. We need faith to trust God in everything we do.  Not just faith in Him, but confident in our position in Him. In other words, we need to be filled with His love and walk in His ways.  We can operate the things of God in our lives by our faith in Him. Again, you will never walk in more faith than you can believe.

You cannot withhold anything from God and still have faith in His promises. You will not speak for Him with authority. You must live a pure life through Him, My friend; we have an anchor and someone to hold on to forever: The Man, Christ Jesus.

Matt. 9:29 Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be done unto you.“

Eph. 6:16 Paul said,” Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” I assure you the darts will come. So Faith up.

Please remember faith works by love: little love, little faith. We must learn to love in order to walk in great faith that pleases the Lord.

Gal.3:11, “The just shall live by faith.”

Rom.8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” You are made right, put right, justified. That makes You a just person!  Now you can live by faith.  Jesus said,” I am the light of the world.”  Before He left, He said you are the light of the world. Throw your light out there, let it shine. Jesus said,” Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”. Matthew 5:16r. Bob Allen

War and Peace

Religion

Religion article written by Dr. Bob Allen:

Our power for war is prayer. Our weapon is our voice when we speak His word in faith by the Holy Spirit.

I am very concerned about our great nation, America.  Every Christian I know has the same concerns. It is as though I have lived in two different Americas. America then, and America now. Some are saying God is judging our nation, but I don’t think so.

John12:47 Jesus said, “I came not to judge the world, but to save it; the words that I speak unto you the same shall judge you in the last day.” I think we are living in a period of grace. I feel nothing but blessed! I thank God that He is not judging us at this time.  I do think that He would find it hard to bless this nation at this time. I think we are practicing self-rule, and bringing disasters upon ourselves. We are rejecting the ways of the Lord.

2Tim 3:13 The Bible says, “Evil men will wax worse and worse.”  I do not think this is the hand of a loving, kind God against us, but are we letting the world get bigger and more powerful than the church? It looks like a picture rather of the wheat and tares growing together as Jesus said. Sometimes I think the tares are flourishing, and growing more than the wheat. Some people might feel that the “silent church” needs a wake-up call. I believe we have been on a course of self-destruction for many, many years. I remember when it all began to fall apart. One thing they used to say is, “take prayer out of school and watch and see what happens.” I am watching, and I see what happened. We don’t need to be judged by God; we have made our judgment calls. We have brought our problems on ourselves, and it has brought disaster.

Ten years from now, a young person will hardly know the difference between a man and woman.  Gays will be elected to many high offices. They will be running our schools and many of our churches. Low morality, as we know now, will plummet even deeper. Our population base that supports and depends on the nation through reproduction will dwindle down. I believe we will have to import more people to work to maintain our tax base.

Have you noticed when you make a phone call that you hear, “for English press one?”What has America moved? Adios America!

Instead of judging us, God is probably feeling sorry for us, and saying something like, what foolish people; don’t they remember the days of Sodom and Gomorra?

With the Supreme Court’s recent decisions, I think that many are trying to make America a godless nation.

I know that we, the people of God, have done our best to send good people to Washington.  We have also sent our tax money. Our elected officials have failed us by letting this country get in the shape that it’s in. I believe they have failed in almost every area. We now have forty-seven million people feeding off the taxpayers’ money every month. Not many years ago we had twenty-five people paying in for every one receiving. Now it is down to three paying in per person. How long, O Lord, can it last? I never talk about these things, because I hate to do it, but I am a part of The Church, and it is my responsibility.

Let me show you one way that I think our Presidents, our senators, and members of Congress have failed us in the last forty years:  At one time China was a very poor, somewhat backward nation. America at that time was the world’s greatest industrial nation on the earth, leading the manufacturing base that supplied jobs, stability, retirement plans, insurance, vacations, sick leave, and the ability to buy homes. America also provided a sense of security for families, in essence, hope and future.   Manufacturing is good, and there were lots of factories in every state. This built confidence in people by teaching them skills. It gave blue color workers a sense of worth and value. It gave America a great tax base which gave us the greatest war machine on earth.

Then came the great wealth transfer. Now probably seventy-five percent of things in your house come from China. Most of our factories are there, as well as, our money. We are now being hijacked with higher prices for their goods.  Now America borrows money from them to run our country. China is makings lots of investments in our country; they now own Volvo, as well as Smithfield Foods and so on. China is buying our country up with our money. (Vote Smart)

China, as of last year, became a wealthier nation than America. They have a greater military machine and a far more disciplined and larger army than ours built with the American dollar.  We recently announced that we are laying off forty thousand soldiers. In America, the upper-income man is doing well. He simply buys their goods for five and sells for ten.  God bless him, but the rest are hurting.

My best thinking tells me that it would be very difficult for any leader to retool America, and bring back our factories; if not impossible.  We would have to import workers. I don’t believe you will ever be able to take free money out of the hands of the people! JOBS to replace FREE MONEY. What? Are you kidding?

Our government says we have eleven million Spanish peoples in America with about ninety-five % or more from Mexico. I say more like twenty-five million. I say this with confidence because I was at one time working in the sheet rock business in North Carolina for my brother-in -law and when I hired a Spanish subcontractor he would always have a van full of workers. I remember we always figured about four per crew; otherwise, I hired one with paperwork and always got four or more, it is for sure there are about four for every one they have paperwork on.

Think about this, twenty-five million people and they are all working; this is America’s new labor force, and thank God for them, however, they pay very little taxes.

My wife just spent a week in the hospital in West Palm Beach.  We estimated that about seventy-five percent of all doctors, nurses, and other help were not from America. Very few of the common laborers were American. They did seem to be good at their jobs, and by the way, this is South Florida, which is a big melting pot.

We are killing around 3,700 babies a day if we only kill five days a week that is right at a million a year.  58,500,000 since 1973. Think about that fifty-eight and a half million. There must be many doctors, nurses, laborers, teachers even preachers killed.  (I googled these numbers).

I have already picked my candidate for president, and I hope you will join me. I think I have already learned my lesson. I am watching for the man that I think has the best prayer life, and that spends the most time in the Word of God. I want the man that I believe can touch the heart of God. We remember what God said to Abraham about Sodom: Ten righteous men could have saved Sodom. Maybe we can start a prayer revival and help put God’s man in the White House, and play some part in rescuing our country. If we are born again, we are Father God’s righteous sons and daughters. We are made right. We are put right through the blood of our wonderful, precious Savior, Christ Jesus.

2Chr7:14  “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Mal3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not”. He’ll do it.

If my friend, we elect a man who will go to the White House, and fall on his face before the world, and lift his hands to heaven and call upon the name of the LORD as well as call the nation to repentance, God can and will turn this nation around.

I don’t think any smart man can save and restore America. I have voted for smart men for years. It makes me think; maybe I’m not all that smart. From now on, I am looking and praying for God’s person. I hope you feel the same way. I still have great hope for the future of America, but it is in the hands of Almighty God.  We must pray for our country!!!

Tongues the Power Gift

Religion

Religion article written by Dr. Bob Allen:

1 Cor 14:18 Paul said, ”I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.” I thank God for this gift also. Paul is putting a big endorsement here on tongues, and so does Jesus. Mark 16:17 Jesus said,”And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.” Any person that rejects this gift would be challenging the Master himself.

The gift of tongues that operates in the church brings forth a message from the Spirit of God. It becomes prophecy when it’s interpreted; It is a very pure or a sure word of prophecy. Now, this gift is part of the nine gifts given to the church. This gift is to be used to speak to the body tongues and interpretations equal prophecies. I think this is the purest form of prophecy I have been operating in this gift for many, many years. What makes it so pure, First of all when bringing forth the message in tongues by the Holy Spirit is spontaneous flow. The interpretation is also a spontaneous flow. You don’t have time to think. You just speak what you see before you. With me it is like a ticker-tape you cannot inject one thought of your own into it; you don’t get a chance because it comes so fast you just follow the words. The interpretation may come from someone else in the church, or the one that is speaking the tongues may bring it. When you are to bring the message or the interpretation, you may feel a little pressure build up inside by the Holy Spirit; this is the signal that the Holy Spirit wants to speak through you.

I have, on several occasions, been in desperate situations. While praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit would come upon me, and kick my pray tongues into another new Holy Spirit language and the Lord would speak back to me. He would speak very clearly through my own interpretation; which then becomes a prophecy. Every time it was at a real point of need in my life, and always brought a great blessing from the Lord. Let me make this clear, I cannot do this at will, but I can always pray in tongues at will…

Interpretation: explaining in the natural, what you heard in the spirit. Interpretation of tongues is used to speak for God and to bring an understanding of something spoken by the spirit. It comes by spontaneous flow, equal to prophesy.

Can everyone speak in tongues? Probably not. I would say 90 % of the Church body that prays in tongues cannot minister this speaking gift. It would be about the same percentage that can minister the gift of healing, or prophecy or any of the other nine gifts. The speaking gift is for the church and should operate in every church.

1Cor14:26 “how is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, and Hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edification

This gift of speaking and praying in tongues comes with the baptism or the immersion of the Holy Spirit when He comes upon you, and only Jesus can baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

Luke3:16”John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” Jesus is our Holy Spirit baptizer.

Can all pray in tongues? Jesus said that it would be a sign that follows the believer, Paul seems to think, so that is why Paul said to pray in the Spirit and pray in the understanding also. Even though you can’t speak forth with the ministry gift, Paul said different gifts of tongues, so we can all pray after receiving.

Paul said in 1 Cor. 14:14-15, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays but my understanding is unfruitful; what is it then? I will do both; I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” Please notice this is two different things. You can even learn to sing to the Lord in your spirit. Question: Should it be for everybody? Yes, we are to pray and sing with our spirit and with our understanding. God is not a respecter of persons. God is a Spirit, and it is your spirit coming directly together with His Spirit when you pray in tongues; Paul said you are speaking mysteries unto God. 1 Cor., Paul said praying in tongues edifies you, this builds your spirit up and fills it up; who doesn’t need that!

Jude, verse: 20.”But you beloved build up yourself in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” Praying in the Holy Ghost means your spirit touches his. If all could not do this, we would not be told to do so. Can you interpret your own prayer tongue? If you do not operate in the gift of interpretation like giving a message, No you cannot, That is why Paul said to pray in the Spirit and pray for the understanding also. The tongues spoken by your own spirit does not get interpreted because you are speaking mysteries unto God, mysteries are mysteries. Tongues spoken while moved upon by the Holy Spirit should always be interpreted. The person that prays in tongues will, however, have a higher realm of understanding and revelation, and he will hear from God more clearly when he follows up by praying with the prayer of understanding. I have had this happen while playing in my own prayer language the Holy Spirt would kick my tongue into a whole new language one of authority when this happens the Lord will bring forth the interpretation. Tongues is the road that takes you to the place to get your most Holy faith. No wonder Paul said, “I thank my God that I speak in tongues more than you all.”

1Cor.14:2,” For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands him; howbeit in the spirit, he speaks mysteries.” When you are speaking to God in your prayer tongue, it is just a mystery between you and the Lord. Nothing else can be said. It gives you a hot line directly to your heavenly Father.

When you pray in tongues, it takes you into a whole new revelation and understanding of God. You could be a Bible Scholar and study the word until you know every color in Joseph’s coat, but when you begin to pray in tongues, you access a whole new realm of understanding. You completely bypass the mind realm. There is no way to doubt. Your prayers are pure and holy and not always about you, or your needs. The Holy Spirit uses your spirit and not your mind to pray.

Real power ministry operates out of the spirit, and not out of the mind. Good information that you can learn comes out of the mind. Tongues take you above the natural man when your spirit touches God’s Spirit.

I think the reason we put so much emphasis on tongues, is that everyone that we see operating in the other gifts spends a lot of time praying in tongues. I don’t think I have ever seen the other gifts used by anyone without a prayer language. I am sad to say this, but it is also the least sought after, and neglected of the gifts, as well as the least understood of all nine gifts.

My friend, praying in tongues every day is like putting money in the bank; when you need to share or minister to someone or have a cry in your heart from the Lord, you will have spiritual power and strength to draw from.

Seek the Lord for his gifts; He loves to give good gifts to them that ask Him. Read 1st Corinthians chapters 12-14, and stay there until you have a clear understanding. Now, remember, when you first start praying in tongues, you might get just a few words that sound like silly symbols, but just keep working on it, and the Holy Spirit will help you develop a beautiful prayer language. You have to do this for yourself. God does not pray for you. You may want to find someone filled with the Holy Ghost to lay hands on you and pray with you for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Your purpose for wanting these gifts should be to draw closer to the Lord and to be a more successful witness. I notice almost everyone receives in a different way.

The Wicked One and His Evil Demons,  Part 1 of 3

Religion

Religion column written by Dr. Bob Allen        :

1 Peter 5:8 says, Be sober, be vigilant; because  your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” Boy, that is a powerful statement.  The roaring lion is the Devil. Peter says he is your adversary.  He is nothing but a liar. You as a Christian can beat him every time with the truth. Peter said to Ananias, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost?” Peter knew the roaring lion. He knew that he was a liar. Be careful here! He is also out to devour you and your loved ones like he did Ananias.

The devil is no match for you; the spirit filled child of God. In fact, The Lord Jesus has defeated him, and he knows it. But the devil also knows that you don’t know it unless you know the truth. The truth that you are loved, and, empowered and precious in the sight of God.

Now this is the picture of Satan’s powerful, unholy government.

These facts are very important. Satan operates in, what I call, an unholy trinity. There are three major demon spirits that all other demon spirits seem to have tentacles attached:   insecurity, inferiority, and the accuser of the brethren. All demon spirits travel this road to get to you. So, all demonic problems are rooted here. Show me a person with these issues, and I will show you a person who is listening to the “roaring lion.”  If you fit into this category,  Satan has a green light to your life.

Because of our fallen nature from the sin of Adam, many are still dealing with childhood damage in adult life. The accuser is always there to help you to be miserable. Watch for signs concerning you and members of your family. Are you or your loved ones a target?

The demon’s job is to keep you down forever. The root demons of insecurity, inferiority, and the accuser of the brethren have tentacles to demons of depression, oppression, fear, rejection, rebellion, unforgiveness, lust, drunkenness, drugs, alcohol, pornography, lying, suicide, the occult, procrastination, homosexuality, and so on.

He will give you the card he wants you to hold.  If you have insecurity or inferiority working in your life, it is a playground for the devil. The accuser can work other demonic spirits into your situation at his will. He will find the one that fits you. However, these are just tools.  A failure is a tool the devil loves. Failure to him is like gas on fire! When you feel like a failure that gives the accuser the green light.  Get out of the fire.

His best work is done when he has you down; beating and accusing yourself, or in conflict with yourself, This is the devil’s playground. Stay out of his sandbox.

Many never find significance because of insecurity, and inferiority and the accusing spirits.  We need to understand that the demon spirit should not lead us because we are lead by the Spirit of God. However, demons will always try to direct your life.

Insecurity: Not sure of anything, not feeling safe, always looking for something, or somebody to hold onto. You will grab hold of the wrong thing looking for security. You will lie about anything in hopes of making something work for you. Dad and Mom keep an eye on your kids. Watch for signs of insecurity.

Drunkenness, drugs, fear, and the occult is really about your trying to hide your life,  and it never works because wherever you go, there you are.

Inferiority: Feeling inferior, always feeling like you come up short, like something is missing, there just has to be more than this; why me? I hate this world; I wish I had never been born, I wish I were dead. Always restless.

Depression, oppression. You’re  just not anchored down. Your problems out number your solutions.  The enemy then goes to work on you. The demons blind you and convince you that you cannot see your way out. Then the accuser of the brethren tells you continuously all about you and your problems.  He will definitely put the “right”, but a wrong person in your life just in time for his plan to work. You may have him or her now. If you felt unloved;  remember the devil can match you up with his choices, and he can twist minds.

Both insecurity and inferiority can cause conflict in the mind. Your mind truly wants to do what is right, but there is that old life of sin or bad judgment calls that are always there. They sit there. They are caused by the decisions you have already made, and this is where the accuser of the brother comes in.  He can put one side of the mind in conflict against the other. (the new you and the old you)Migraine headaches, worry, and fear, can come out of this.  It can come from past relationships, failures and families issues.

Drug habits:  a masterpiece of the devil. Druggies are slaves. Your children will rob your money, hurt you and your family to support a drug habit.  Satan drives them. They are good people, just deceived. The cost is very great. The young men who went off to war, in World War 11,  came back and really made America great. Well, many, many mother’s sons in this same age group are in prison and jails all across America today. There are two million, two hundred and twenty-three thousand adults incarcerated at this time, in our nation, and most have drug related problems.

Let me just take a moment here to share something with you. Have you noticed law enforcement has been fighting this drug problem and have spent billions on it for over forty years? Today any kid can buy drugs anytime he wants; it is just as if the law did not exist.  Law enforcement has lost the battle. The Lord showed me that it is a spiritual problem and one of the greatest weapons the devil has ever had to destroy families and to destroy lives. Drug addiction has to be defeated with spiritual power. Wake up sleepy Church and get to work.

Feedback would be appreciated.

 The Liar

Religion

Religion article written by Dr. Bob Allen:

It looks like, for sure, all liars will go to a burning hell!

The Lie, The devil’s foundation is built on it. The devil lied to Eve in the garden and brought sin into the whole world, upon all mankind.

Lying spirit: The devil is a liar and a deceiver. He comes to take away God’s best for your life and God’s promises to you. He comes only to steal, kill, and destroy you. The Lord wants you to be free from the attack of your enemy, the devil.

  • Jesus had to die to break Satan’s power, and set man free.

If there is such a thing as the world’s worst sin, it would have to be lying. The devil’s power base for his sinful, fallen world is built on it.

  • Prov 19:22 “A poor man is better than a liar.”
  • Prov19:5 “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speak lies shall not escape.”   Ops
  • Pro19:9  “He that speak lies shall perish.” (That’s scary)
  • Ps101:7 “He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house.
  • He that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight.” O, What hate God must have for the lie. Watch your tongue.

John 8:44 Jesus said; ” Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.”

If you lie, you are speaking for the devil.  When you lie, Jesus says that the devil is your father.

Acts 5:3 “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost.  Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.”

Jesus has defeated Satan. He spent a lot of time teaching us who, and what the devil is like.

Jesus has taught us that in his name, and by his power, we too can defeat him every time. Submit yourself to God resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Just how do you think Father God feels when you neglect all of his promises, and all of his provisions for you, and lie?  The Father must weep when you reject the shed blood of his own son, who is the truth. If you leave the truth and accept the devil’s lies, that means, right now you think the devil can, and will help you, and put you over better than God can.

If you are a liar, it is because you are being influenced by the demon of insecurity, and inferiority.  You think you cannot be represented on your own merits, so you borrow the devil’s power, which is always deception. You depend on the lie, not realizing you are calling on the wrong father, the Devil to prop you up.

When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.  If you use a lie, to manipulate someone to accomplish your will or purpose, you have just used the doctrine of the devil and showed no faith in God. That makes the devil your father. If you are the head of your house, and you are a liar, you will have a cursed house, and it will run through your family line until you repent.  You have given the devil a seat at your table.  Who’s your daddy?

Let’s look at where the lie will put you in the end.

Rev 21:27”And there shall in no wise enter into heaven anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, nor maketh a lie.” Watch what comes out of your mouth.

Rev 21:8  “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone.”

Rev22:14” Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”

My friend if you are a liar you can’t go anywhere, but to hell. Notice the word says you are the same as a murderer.

Lying is something not to be taken lightly, yet many people are chronic liars. If you have a family member that is a liar, I think he is in danger of a burning hell. Go to him help him.

The jailer said to Paul Sir, what must I do to be saved? Paul said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved”. Just believe and ask.

“JOY”

Religion

Religion article written by Dr. Bob Allen:

RECOVERING THE POWER OF JOY News Of Great Joy “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11) The great theme of Christmas is Joy – joy that a Savior has come, joy that the door is open for all men to return to the blessing and favor of God – joy arising from our faith in the good tidings of great joy. Joy is one of the great themes of the Bible. It is the natural response to the revelation of goodness of God. There are more 800 scriptures that exhort us to rejoice or praise the Lord. Paul actually says that our assignment in life is to praise God. “We were also chosen as God’s own, .. in order that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be for the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians 1:11-12) Our highest destiny is to acknowledge, welcome, and rejoice in God ‘s goodness.

Obviously praise and thanksgiving is not the language of the world around us. It is definitely not the language of politics or of the media. Praise is the holy language of the priests of the Most High God. “7 On that day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the Lord in this manner: 8 Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. 10 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 11 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” (I Chronicles 16.7)

The language of the world is colored by fear, anxiety and worry. It is a language of complaint – what the Bible calls ‘murmuring’. Before we became believers and discovered the inexhaustible grace and provision of God, most of us spoke that language too. However, When God (through Jesus’ coming, death, resurrection and ascension) lifted us up out of
the miry pit of the world, to sit with Him in the heavens. He lifted us out of the strife and fear that controls the world. He also gave us a new language and put a song of praise in our mouths. “He brought me up also out of the pit of hopelessness, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and straightened my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God.” (Psalm 40:2-3)

The Rejoicing Priesthood

As followers of Jesus, we share in His priesthood, and as priests we are appointed to give thanks and praise. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10) It is the assignment of God’s priests to thank and praise the Lord and invoke His help in the face of life’s problems. We do this through the language of victory and praise. It is easy for intercessors to be distracted by the problems they are praying about and lose their focus on the goodness and power of God. The task of the true priesthood, however is to • shift our focus upward to the glorious presence of Our Loving Heavenly Father, • declare and rejoice in His goodness and • invoke His mighty help in the face of life’s difficulties. This life of praise and thanksgiving is not only our assignment – God commands it! “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.” (1 Th. 5:17-19)

It Is Not “Sticking Our Heads In The Sand” Some people do not understand the power of rejoicing in the Lord and dismiss it as “happy clappy emotionalism.” In 1989 the then Archbishop of Canterbury famously dismissed charismatic praise as ‘happy-clappy emotionalism”. The lifestyle of thanksgiving and praising God should never be dismissed as shallow, unexamined optimism. Some have even abandoned the lifestyle of praise and rejoicing for fear of being labeled as shallow and not serious enough. When we embrace the heavenly lifestyle of joy, rejoicing, thanksgiving and praise we are not acting as if there were no sorrow, no evil no tribulation in the world or in our lives. We are not “sticking our heads in the sand.” we are connecting ourselves with the joy and resources of heaven, We are not thanking God for the evil that is in the world or acting in some sort of smug indifference to the problems and sufferings that lie all around us. We are declaring that He is at hand and is more powerful than all the evil around us and that He can release His redemptive help on the scene when we invite Him to.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! …. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:4-7) The call to rejoicing is not in any way shallow. It is a holy and resolute focus on the goodness of God in the face of adversity. It is the highest expression of the overcoming life. Far from being an expression of shallowness – it is the secret of the martyrs. We see it exemplified in Jehoshaphat’s great victory over the Assyrians (2 Chronicles 20). We see it in Paul & Silas’ victory over self-pity and discouragement in the jail at Philippi. Through praise and thanksgiving they released the miraculous working of God, the activity of angels and a chain reaction of revival. Discouragement threatens to ‘quench the spirit’ but praise and thanksgiving releases the operation of the Holy Spirit anew. “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies.” (Deut. 28.48) While praise has its positive benefits making a way for power of God and His angels to act on our behalf, grumbling on the other hand makes us vulnerable to the operation of the Evil One. Scripture not only exhorts us to praise but also warns us from grumbling.

“(And do not) complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.” (I Cor. 10.10 He Who Sits In The Heaven Laughs Praise and thanksgiving is impossible to the earthbound and for those who have lost sight of the presence, power and purpose of God. It is the birthright of those who have been lifted into the heavens in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 1) “He who sits in the heavens laughs.” “All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.” We who have been lifted with Christ Jesus to sit in the heavens can laugh in the face of life’s problems, can rejoice in the midst of sufferings and can glory in the face of tribulation. We can do this because we live by faith and not by sight. We can constantly rely on God our Father’s continuous comfort, His provision of strength as we look to His ultimate triumph. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom. 8:35-37) Joy In Evangelizing In evangelizing we usually ask people to forsake their sins and turn back to God and His ways. We can also approach the subject in a different but equally valid way. We can invite people to lift their minds and mouths away from their frustration with their inability to solve all their own problems and discover God’s ability to help them in all their problems. We can invite them to abandon disillusionment and discouragement with life and discover for themselves God’s goodness and mercy – to which they have access by the coming and work of the Savior. We can invite them to the life of joy and rejoicing and encourage them to abandon the life of despair discouragement, grumbling and disillusionment. “Therefore they shall come streaming to the goodness of the Lord … and they shall sorrow no more at all.” (Jer. 31.12) The coming and work of Jesus has opened up a new life and makes possible a life of joy and rejoicing and regardless of our circumstances. We see the people of every nation and religion hearing the glad tiding of great joy and d streaming to the goodness of their Creator revealed in the coming and work of the Savior. Let’s provoke the world to jealousy by the joy we have though Him.

Let’s rediscover the Hallelujah factor!

Life Is Good – God Always Loves You

The Wicked One and His Evil Demons

Religion

Religion column written by Dr. Bob Allen:

Part 1 of 3
1Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” Boy, that is a powerful statement.

A Word of Comfort for You Today

Religion

Religion article written by Dr. Bob Allen:

First of all, the Holy Spirit comes to comfort you by keeping Jesus lifted up before you at all times.

Let’s consider the work of the Holy Spirit today. Learn how He works, and He will work with you, and for you. Notice how He worked in the life of Jesus, and His Disciples.

First, I have noticed two distinct kinds of Christians during my walk with the Lord. The first one I call good, religious Christians. They are faithful to whatever doctrine their church teaches.  They are born again. That means their spirit which was dead unto God from the fall of Adam is now alive. Their new, living spirit is then sealed by the Holy Spirit of God, for God.

The second one is born again, but this person sees more potential in the Holy Spirit by watching Him empower the Apostles for their ministry. This person then seeks and receives a greater measure in the Holy Spirit which is an impartation of His abiding presence, His gifts, and His power.  When you are filled with Holy Spirit, the Word and the desire for the Word comes alive, and you become much more affected by the work and the witness of the Lord. The Holy Spirit’s work can best be seen by the disciples in Acts chapters 8 and 19. Read also, 1st Corinthians 12-14 about His gifts.

How well do you know the Holy Spirit? This reveals how well you know Jesus because He takes the things of Jesus and shows them unto us. He can reveal much more of Jesus to you than you can otherwise learn. Have you received the fullness of the Holy Spirit? Did you know He is the Spirit of the Father here on earth for you?

Luke1:35And the angel answered and said to her,(Mary) The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”That makes Jesus fathered by the Holy Spirit, which is God.

Luke3:21-22 “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,  and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, “Thou art My beloved Son; in Thee, I am well pleased.” The Spirit is a Person of God. The Father’s power. God down here. God now, and or God with us.

Look at this, The Holy Spirit first came upon John the Baptist while he was in his mother, Elizabeth’s womb to announce the coming of Jesus. Then He came upon Jesus to empower Him.

Luke4:14 “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.” Here Jesus is a sinless man with perfect cleansing blood in Him and all of the Spirit’s power of the Father in and upon Him. Jesus is being sent to beat the devil as a man, to judge him as nothing but a liar, and to take back God’s power over fallen man.

Acts10:38: ”Peter said how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” If Jesus needed to be anointed by the Holy Spirit, how much more do we, the Church?

That same Holy Spirit that followed Jesus is now following you.  He will keep you on the path of righteousness.  The Father sent Him in Jesus’ name. Work with Him.
