Mr. Donald Lee Calvin, age 81 of Blairsville, passed away November 8, 2014 at the Union General Hospital in Blairsville. Mr. Calvin was born January 18, 1933 in Paulding, OH to the late Clifford Levi Calvin and the late Ferrol Dean Layne Calvin. He was an usher and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Blue Ridge, and also a member of the Blue Ridge Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter-in-law, Linda Eichert. Donald served his country during the Korean War enlisting in the Navy. He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and he enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

Survivors include loving wife, Irene M. Calvin, and one son, Peter Eichert.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father John Conway officiating. Music provided by Ruth McCart. Interment will follow in the GA National Cemetery in Canton at 12:30 pm. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will be his brothers in the Knights of Columbus.
