Roselle Huffman Arp, age 91, of Morganton, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Blairsville. Born on November 14, 1926 in Blairsville, she was the daughter of the late Arvil Bruce Patterson and Sarah Bessie Weaver Patterson. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. She retired after 21 years as a Sewing Machine Operator for Levi Strauss. She is also preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde Huffman and Ray Arp.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Marcia Huffman of Blue Ridge; daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Randy Helton of Blue Ridge; stepchildren, Barry and Sharon Arp, Donald Ray Arp, and Kenneth Allen Arp, Charlotte and Robbie Dugger, and Helen Rogerson, all of Akron, OH; brothers and sister-in-law, Roey Zane and Yvonne Patterson of Blue Ridge and Conard Patterson of Morganton; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Swofford officiating. Mrs. Arp will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Music will be led by Teresa Ross. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Wesley Huffman, Andy Huffman, Mark Clemmons, Jack Clemmons, Jared Helton, and Jason Hall. Roselle’s nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to either Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
