Mr. Matthew John Robles, age 76, of Copperhill, TN, passed away on July 9, 2015. He was a veteran in the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of the Bethel Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Mary Dey Robles.

Survivors include is wife, Christine Robles of the home; son and daughter-in law, Mark and Trish Robles of Chattanooga, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Jeff Hackler of Chattanooga, TN; step son, David Deal of Copperhill, TN; step-daughters and their husbands, Faye Chorost and David of Copperhill, TN, Janice O’Neal and Lamar of Copperhill, TN and Brenda Deal of McCaysville, GA; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Music will be by the O’Neal Family. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Payne, Reid O’Neal, Jason Ledford, Eric O’Neal, Craig O’Neal, Justin Deal, David Robles, and Chad Deal. Serving as an honorary escort will be: Leroy Satterfield, Fred Walden, Rassie Cheek and David Deal. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
