Diane Janet “Nine” Patterson, age 60 of McCaysville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at her home. She was born May 22, 1953, in Kingston, PA. She attended Epworth First Baptist Church, enjoyed traveling; especially cruises and Disney. She liked to spend her spare time reading. She was very partial to kids and older people. She was a bus driver for Fannin County School system and she loved the kids on her bus routes. She worked for Kaye’s Auto Parts as office manager where she liked working with people that she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by father, Robert Dendle.

Survivors include: mother, Evelyn Dendle; husband, Wayne Patterson; son, Jason Alexander (Alisa) Nipper; stepson, Jeff (Andrea) Patterson; sister, Donna Dendle; sister, Debbie (Tom) Marchese; grandchildren, Jared Patterson, Todd Patterson, Brendan Nipper, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 7:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Dr. Tom Jordan, officiating. Music provided by: Vernon Owenby. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers: James Pack, Scott Lewis, Robbie Russell, Bud Chastain, Hoyt Johnson, Wendell Patterson, Jimmy Patterson, Kenneth Patterson, Mark Tuttle, Sr., Fannin County bus drivers and bus garage employees, Norman Kaye and employees of Kaye’s Auto Parts.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Monday, July 29, 2013, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm & Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
