On Friday, March 23, we had our annual Miss FCHS Pageant. We are so proud of all the ladies who participated as contestants and the gentlemen who participated as escorts. Please congratulate the following outstanding individuals:

Miss Fannin County High School Pageant 2017

FCHS PageantFifteen contestants participated in the annual Miss Fannin County High School pageant this year, held on March 25th, 2017 in the FCHS Performing Arts Center.

Hosted by Jacob McClure and 2016 Miss FCHS, Charitty Tuttle, the contestants included Kaitlyn Jones, Cassandra Stepp, Patience Giet, Katy Ledford, Kaitlyn Dickey, Madeline Sisson, Katie Bishop, Lauren Hubbard, Deanna Greene, Hannah Broyles, Bailee Holtslander, Jessica Sisson, Avery White, Jenna Garrison, and Kayla Flanagan.

PageantEach of the contestants were asked to perform a talent and then show off their dresses to the judges. Of the fifteen girls that entered, only five were selected to move onto the next round of judging in the pageant. Excited to move on, the contestants randomly selected a question to be asked in the on-stage interview. The top five contestants were Jenna Garrison, Kaitlyn Dickey, Deanna Greene, Kaitlyn Jones, and Cassandra Stepp.

Mylee Butler, Charitty Tuttle, and Collin Queen also sang at the pageant as special entertainment.

Coming to the end of the Pageant, tensions grew as the winners were announced. The audience voted Cassandra Stepp for the People’s Choice Award in the pageant. The judges then voted Kaitlyn Dickey to receive the Miss Congeniality award and 1st Runner up; Deanna Greene received 2nd Runner up.

Jenna Garrison won best talent for her musical solo performance of “On My Own” from the musical Les Miserables; she also won best interview and the title of the new Miss FCHS 2017.

The Contestants for the 2017 spring annual Miss Rebel Pageant

Community

The Fannin County Middle and High School Bands will hold their annual Spring Miss Rebel Pageant Fundraiser at the Fannin County High School Performing Arts Center this Saturday, April 1st, at 7PM. Approximately 30 young ladies and 10 gentlemen will participate. Admission is $5.

Last Weekend, March 10, saw 23 young ladies compete in the 2017 Miss Fannin County Middle School Pageant held at the Fannin High School Performing Arts Center.

The evening consisted of the contestants presentation in casual wear, followed by a special performance from Studio 1 Performing Arts School. Then Contestants returned for Formal Wear.

The audience was also treated to a performance from the FCHS Drama Club as contestants prepared for the announcement of the Top Five.

Excitement mounted in the young women as the announcements came for Taylor Brooke Coleman, Monica Cosentino, Kennedy Harper, Lexy Long, and Kaylee Scarbary.

These moved on to the final portion of the Pageant. Each of the top five were interviewed as the judges listened, making final choices about their decisions.

Finally, the moment much anticipated by each girl on stage, the winners were announced.

Second Runner-Up was awarded to Monica Cosentino. She was sponsored by Mike and Inge Cosentino (Big Ridge Running Co.).

 

 

Kaylee Scarbary

 

 

 

 

First Runner-Up was awarded to Kaylee Scarbary. She was sponsored by Scarbary Plumbing and others.

 

 

 

Lexy Long

 

 

 

The winner and crowned 2017 Miss Fannin County Middle School, was Lexy Long. She was sponsored by S&S Painting, Mountain Top Cabin Rentals, Georgia Mountain Cabin Rental, and Kevin Ware Truckin.

However, that was not the extent of the awards for the night. Until intermission, audience members were encourage to make $1 donations to vote for their favorite Beauty in the People’s Choice Award in addition to three others.
