Maps of Highway 5 expansion available at Chamber
The Georgia Department of Transportation has provided the Chamber with large format maps of the plans for the Highway 5 expansion including the McCaysville truck route/bypass. You can take a look in the Chamber board room.
Holiday Hours
The Chamber Welcome Center and Caboose will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Happy Holidays!

The 6th Annual Fire & Ice Chili Cook off was attended by thousands. It was a fun but cold day with the temps staying at 30 or below. The ice sculptures were beautiful and the chili was awesome! Special thanks to our FetchYourNews Team and sponsors: North Georgia Ford, Elrey Mexican Restaurant, AdvoCare, Bear Creek Cattle Company, Cartecay Vineyards, and Douglas Inn & Suites. The Fetch team cooked up a healthy chili which was also very tasty – here is the recipe: Bear Creek Cattle Company dry aged beef, green peppers, red peppers, cayenne pepper, cilantro, Magic Chef no salt seasoning, no salt added diced tomatoes, hot sauce, salsa, onion, onion powder, V8 Hot & Spicy low sodium, Stewed tomatoes no salt, kidney beans, pinto beans, red pepper, black pepper, balsamic vinegar, and don’t forget the red chimney Cartecay Vineyards wine!
