The annual Fannin’s Got Talent Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 7:00 PM in the FCHS Performing Arts Center. Sixteen students will perform and the acts range from gymnastic jump rope to guitar and vocal solos.

A mesage from Mountain Ecuation Charter High School:

Hannah Taylor is Fannin Mountain Education Charter High School’s Student of the Month. Hannah is a junior who has lived in Blue Ridge for the past three years. She moved from Atlanta and had spent a year in Ecuador which she loved. She is a focused student who completed three classes in March.

West Fannin’s Theme for the Book Fair this week is “Under the Sea.” We held our Family & Literacy Night Tuesday, April 7th. Families enjoyed Story Time, Arts & Crafts, and other various activities. The Book Fair is raising money for new books and technology for the Media Center.

In March, second grade students at West Fannin completed a STEM activity using recycled materials to construct a ramp that could keep a marble moving. Students were told that Six Flags needed their help constructing a new ride and were challenged with this question: How long can you keep the marble moving inside its track?
