A car accident which occurred on Tuesday, May the 9th, damaged the structure of the Morganton Georgia Post Office.

The small post office located on Morganton Hwy sustained damage when a car struct the facility.  The crash left a hallway obstructed and blocks the ability for people to access their PO Box.  However at this time staff are reporting to work and are able to give customers their mail until the repairs have been completed. 

The accident happened around noon while staff were gone to lunch and discovered the accident upon their return.  Luckily no injuries were reported.  FetchYourNews.com has inquired with the communications director for the Post Office and will update when more information is available.
