Miss FCMS Pageant Hosted in Fannin

Last Weekend, March 10, saw 23 young ladies compete in the 2017 Miss Fannin County Middle School Pageant held at the Fannin High School Performing Arts Center.
The evening consisted of the contestants presentation in casual wear, followed by a special performance from Studio 1 Performing Arts School. Then Contestants returned for Formal Wear.
The audience was also treated to a performance from the FCHS Drama Club as contestants prepared for the announcement of the Top Five.
Excitement mounted in the young women as the announcements came for Taylor Brooke Coleman, Monica Cosentino, Kennedy Harper, Lexy Long, and Kaylee Scarbary.
These moved on to the final portion of the Pageant. Each of the top five were interviewed as the judges listened, making final choices about their decisions.
Finally, the moment much anticipated by each girl on stage, the winners were announced.
Second Runner-Up was awarded to Monica Cosentino. She was sponsored by Mike and Inge Cosentino (Big Ridge Running Co.).
First Runner-Up was awarded to Kaylee Scarbary. She was sponsored by Scarbary Plumbing and others.
The winner and crowned 2017 Miss Fannin County Middle School, was Lexy Long. She was sponsored by S&S Painting, Mountain Top Cabin Rentals, Georgia Mountain Cabin Rental, and Kevin Ware Truckin.

However, that was not the extent of the awards for the night. Until intermission, audience members were encourage to make $1 donations to vote for their favorite Beauty in the People’s Choice Award in addition to three others.
The People’s Choice Award went to Erin Jones.
The Sponsorship Award went to Taylor Coleman.
Both the Miss Congeniality and Most Photogenic Awards went to Jessie Teasley.
