McKenzie Owenby Joins Fannin County 4-H

Fannin County 4-H is proud to welcome McKenzie Owenby to the Fannin County 4-H program.

McKenzie is a native of North Carolina and is coming to the program as a Community Service Specialist.  Georgia 4-H AmeriCorps State program and the Fannin County Board of Education is providing funding for this important position.  4-H AmeriCorps members provide direct services to youth to support the Georgia 4-H mission of assisting youth in acquiring knowledge, developing like skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society. In addition to the 4-H programming in the schools, McKenzie will be providing assistance with the STEM curriculum.  Ms. Owenby is also conducting after school club meetings and is working with the North Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteers with the school gardens projects.

McKenzie and her husband Wayne have one daughter, Moriah.
