Fannin County High School FFA members attended the North Region Area 1 awards banquet on May 12, 2015. The banquet was held at Chattahoochee Technical School in Jasper, Georgia. Members were awarded with 30 gold, 25 silver,11 bronze emblem certificates for their participation in career development events throughout the year. FCHS FFA members received gold emblems, silver emblems, and bronze emblems. Taylor VanZandt was awarded a plaque and $50.00 for her 1st place Reporter’s award, Lexie Jacobs received an award plaque and $50.00 for her first place finish in the senior division horse evaluation career development event, The junior division horse evaluation team finished 2nd in the area and received a plaque and the junior division environmental natural resources team also received a plaque for their 2nd place area finish. Daisy Stepp received $25.00 and a plaque for her 2nd place floral design junior division 2nd place win. Zachary Couch received a nomination to run for area office and Seth Davis and Katie Patterson served an official voting delegates.
