The week of April 19th-25th has been declared Georgia Cities Week. Come join your fellow friends and neighbors for a pleasurable week of activities here in the beautiful Blue Ridge. Georgia Cities Week is a part of an ongoing effort to raise public awareness about the many services that cities perform and to educate the public on how your city government works. We as a community want to enhance the quality of life for our citizens and want to involve you and your families in that process.Below is a list of some events:
– Fannin County FFA will be planting downtown on April 20, 21 and 22nd
– Kathy Thompson will be hosting a free history tour on Tuesday, April 21st at 2:00
– Ribbon cutting for the Mineral Spring Walking Trail on Wednesday, April 22nd at 2:00
– Georgia Mountain Health will be hosting a healthy aging expo at 165 Blue Ridge overlook at the Georgia Mountain Health Center on Wednesday April 22nd from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
– The Blue Ridge Home Depot will be hosting a kids workshop at the downtown Blue Ridge park on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
– The city of Blue Ridge will be conducting a city and county wide clean up on Saturday, April 25th. Clean up crews will be meeting at the Blue Ridge City Hall at 9:00 AM.

Special thanks to Advance Disposal for providing dumpsters for clean up use. Other civic and business organization will also be volunteering during that week.
