A group of 3rd grade students from West Fannin Elementary School had the opportunity to participate in an exciting project called “Flat Stanley.” After reading the story of “Flat Stanley,” students each made their own Flat Stanley and decided to send it to a pen pal at Ellijay Elementary School. The principals from both schools also joined in with this project of friendship. The students from Ellijay Elementary added their touches of friendship to Flat Stanley and returned them to their pen pals at West Fannin. The project was a huge success. Thank you to Blue Ridge McDonald’s and Dairy Queen for donating items to the activity.
