Dispatched to the above address for the report of a trailer fire, and everyone out. First arriving personal found fire showing from B side of trailer. Heavy smoke showing thru-out. Engine 2 deployed attack lines to stop and extinguish the fire. With the location of the fire and limited driveway access, Fannin
County Sheriff Dept was requested to help with traffic control. At times the roadway was completely shut down for fire apparatus transporting water. State Fire Marshal investigating the cause of the fire. Red Cross contacted to assist the family. 16 fire personal responded.

Saturday 01-18-14

Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched out to a couple of brush fires Saturday. First one dispatched at 16:38 and the second one dispatched at 16:41. First Brush Fire was in the area of White Oak Circle. Arriving units found approximately half acre and an out building involved. Engine 4, Engine 5 and Medic 4 and 13 fire fighters responded.

Second Brush Fire was in the area of Orchard Blvd. Engine 1 and Medic 1 and 4 fire fighters responded.

Residents wishing to burn yard debris, brush and leaves out doors needs to contact Georgia Forestry Commission for a burn permit. City of Blue Ridge or City of McCaysville if you are located with in the city limits. Always remember that you never leave a fire unattended. And always use your water
hose to wet it down when you have finished.
