Marvin “Lecil” Ausburn, age 84, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away April 30, 2013. Born in Floyd County, GA he was the son of the late Paul and Mamie Atkins Ausburn. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ausburn was employed by the Tennessee Copper Company and was a maintenance foreman. He was a member of Mobile Baptist Church and a fifty year member of the McCay Masonic Lodge. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Davidson Ausburn; brothers, Donald, Roy, Homer, Allen, Earl, Will Ed Ausburn; sisters, Ruth Hinton, Ruby Eubanks, Opal Reynolds and Roberta Carney.

Survivors include his sister, Roma A. Williams of Hendersonville, TN; son, Marvin Anthony “Toni” Ausburn of Dayton, TN; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday May 2, at 11:30 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mobile Cemetery with Masonic Rites provided by McCay Masonic Lodge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m.
