Mr. Bobby Lee Thrasher, age 77, of Morganton, GA passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.Mr. Thrasher was born on August 8, 1935 in Fannin County, GA to the late Robert E Lee Thrasher and Flora Angeline Thomas Thrasher. He worked as a machinist for Thasher Enterprises. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Thrasher was a member and deacon of New Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Davis Thrasher; brother, Edgar Thrasher; and sisters, Gladys McVey, Addis Gibson, and Caroline Davis.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Dale Blair of Morganton, GA; brother, William Earl Thrasher of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Thomas Clifton Blair and his wife Kim, Courtney Nichole Blair, and E.J. Smith and his wife Carrie; great grandchild, Leah Smith. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Tommy Young, Rev. Terry Thrasher, and Rev. Phillip Green officiating. Music will be by Rev. Tommy Young and the New Antioch Baptist Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Cliff Blair, E.J. Smith, Kenneth McVey, Beau Thrasher, Jeff Mathis, Tyler Messer, and J.T. Thrasher. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Stephens, Howard Stephens, Paul Wehunt, Paul Millsaps, Bill Leverette, Edward McVey, Fred Ballew, Billy Davis, Bobby Davis, Ricky Davis, and Roger Thrasher. Interment will follow in Toccoa Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
