The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mr. Arliss Houston Bearfield, age 82, of Cleveland, TN, who passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN.He was born on July 26, 1930 in Farner, TN to the late Bill and Bertha Henson Bearfield. Mr. Bearfield loved fishing, crafts and riding bicycles. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary Green of Benton, TN, Lois and husband, George Sparks of Cleveland, TN and Brenda and husband Clyde Raper of Farner, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl E. and Wilma Bearfield of Cleveland, TN and Leroy and Jane Verner of Cleveland, TN; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Farris Reid and Pastor Timothy Gann officiating. Music will be by Teresa Chastain. Pallbearers will be Anthony Lynn, Bill Bearfield, Steven Raper, Mark Raper, Jason Laughlin and Travis Womac. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Chastain, Trent Raper, Luke Raper, Dylan Raper, Travis Smith, Marty Lee Hemp, Jacob Taj, Carl Eugene Bearfield, Jacob Hemp, Scottie Verner, Johnathan Lynn, Josh Collins and Phillip Sparks. Interment will follow in New Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday after 1:00 p.m. but especially from 5:00 pm. until 9:00 p.m.
