Mrs. Iva Gertrude Lloyd Barbara, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 in the LifeCare Center in Ducktown, TN.Mrs. Barbara was born on December 7, 1925 in Etowah, TN. She worked as a cook for several area restaurants and the last for the Sky City Snack Bar. She also attended Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Delia Ritchie Rose; brother, William Rose; sisters, Beatrice Millholland, Geneva Ross, Lucretia Abercrombie, and Viola Harveston; stepchildren, Reathel Pinson and Willard Lloyd; and two husbands, Walter Shorty Lloyd and Joe Barbara.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ruby Viola Rhodes and Toby Rhodes of Blue Ridge, and James Olin (Cooney) Lloyd and Pam Lloyd of Morganton; grandchildren, Rusty Rhodes, Sherry Ray, David Rhodes, Sheila Davenport, Angie Arp, Gina Lloyd, and Danny Lloyd; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Beavers officiating. Eulogy will be given by Roger Burges. Music will be by the Kenny O’Neal Family. Pallbearers will be Rusty Rhodes, David Rhodes, Danny Lloyd, Greg Ray, Kyle Christiansen, and Cliff Blair. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ray, Daniel Davenport, and Jim Lloyd. Interment will follow in Harmony Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday after 5:00 p.m.
