Miss Edith Honor Joyce, age 98 of the Fry Community in McCaysville, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at her home.Miss Joyce was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist Faith. Miss Joyce was a lifelong resident of the Fry Community. She was born on December 15, 1913 and was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Ida Tuck Joyce; siblings, Agnes Etta Joyce, William Plyze Joyce, Robert Buford Joyce, Iowa Joyce Ross, Reba Joyce Burk, Rhoda Marie Joyce Welch, Ella Priscilla Joyce White and two infant brothers.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Music will be by Sarah Miller, Mike, Matt and Haley Weaver. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Weaver, Mike Weaver, Matt Weaver and Bryan Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Eloise Newton, Trish Baliles, Geraldine Trantham and Emma Lou Ledford.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
