A 2 vehicle MVA on Highway 5 near Fannin Regional Hospital at approximately 4:45PM Sunday, resulted in the death of a 6 year old girl, and injuries to other family members. The girl was taken to Fannin Regional Hospital by ambulance and then was being transferred to TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. when she died en route to the facility.

Dispatched to the above location for the report of a structor fire. First units on scene reported that the house was fully involved and collapsing. Engine 7 arrived on scene and deployed two attack lines to cool and protect shop and start extinguishing fire and also fire in the woods. Structor total loss. State Fire Marshall Investigating. Red Cross provided shelter for residence.
