Mrs. Genny Watson, age 85, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday January 7, 2012 in Sky Ridge Hospital in Cleveland, TN.She was born in Fannin County, GA on November 29, 1926 to the late Keen and Nora Hallum Williamson. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and enjoyed Friday afternnoons with her family. Mrs. Watson was a member of Colwell Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Watson; a son Vernon Williamson; brothers, Edgar Williamson, James W. Williamson and Rev. Doug Williamson ; grandson, Samuel Sanders.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roy “Tip” Sanders of Cleveland, TN; brother, Guinn Williamson of Epworth, GA; sister, Willa Dean Chastain of Epworth; granddaughter, Rebekah Sanders-Jones of Cleveland, TN; great-grandson, Tipton Jones of Cleveland, TN; great granddaughter, Katherine Jones of Cleveland, TN; many nieces and nephews also survived.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Colwell Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Collis officiating. Mrs. Watson will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p. m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.. Music will be by Roy Crawford family, Nancy Watkins and Roger Watson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Callihan, John Chastain, Gerald Williamson, Roy Crawford, Robert Crawford, Joel Collis and Ricky Chastain. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Foster, Scott Carter, Roger Watson and Mark Williamson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
