Martha Maudell Tipton, age 80 of Morganton, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.Mrs. Tipton was born June 4, 1930 in Fannin, GA to the late Henry Drayfus Addington and Amy Ethel Beaver Addington. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Tipton; Brother, Ray Addington; sister, Willee Newton.

Survivors include: Brothers, Dallmus Addington, Dealus Addington and Harold Addington; sister, Betty Jo Thompson; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services: Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Music provided by: Thomas Family Singers. Interment will be in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: John Adams, Tyler Adams, Doug Addington, Ben Addington, Danny Tipton and Ron Tipton.
