Pioneer in Education Award

Board of Education, Community

PRESS RELEASE-

The Pioneer in Education Award honors individuals who embody excellence and go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of students and educators. Gribble received this annual award for Fannin County, being recognized for her outstanding leadership, innovation, and partnership in strengthening the connection between education and community development at the Pioneer RESA Pioneer in Education awards event on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Since assuming her role at the Chamber in 2022, Christie Gribble has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between local businesses and schools. Her contributions include organizing Entrepreneurship Days at Fannin County Middle School, leading the Elementary Firefly Project to promote environmental stewardship, partnering with Dr. Roof to analyze labor market data to enhance CTAE pathways, and helping coordinate CTAE Stakeholder Meetings that align education with workforce needs.

“Christie’s leadership and commitment to our schools have made a lasting impact,” said Shannon M. Dillard, Superintendent of Fannin County Schools. “She truly exemplifies what it means to be a pioneer—someone who not only envisions progress but actively works to make it a reality.”

Gribble’s background in economic and community development, combined with her deep respect for education—rooted in her family’s legacy of educators—has made her a valued partner in supporting Fannin County students and teachers.

The Fannin County School System congratulates Christie Gribble on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for her dedication to the success of our students and community.
