Angelena Powell Announces Candidacy for Blue Ridge City Council

PRESS RELEASE-

Dear Family,Friends and Citizens of Blue Ridge.
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Blue Ridge City Council. If elected, I will serve a four year term beginning January 2026.
My decision to seek office was made after much thought, prayer and discussion with my husband of 36 years, Anthony Powell.
I am a lifelong resident of Fannin County. I am the daughter of the late Maford and Wonette Ensley Foster. I attended  Blue Ridge Elementary and graduated from Fannin County High School .
I have worked since I was sixteen, as well as being the owner of three businesses. I am currently the owner of Three Sisters Fudge, a successful business of twenty three years located downtown Blue Ridge .
Anthony and I have raised three daughters, Family has always been our first priority, even while we maintained running our businesses. Today we continue to carry on our tradition of family by enjoying our seven grandchildren as much as possible through vacation and school activities.
My decision to be a  part of leadership in Blue Ridge is based on my love for the people and the community, as well as my business experience.
I will be an approachable council member who will listen to your concerns and ideas. I am a doer as well as a listener. I will put forth the effort needed to keep Blue Ridge on the right track, as we face future growth issues.
I stand firmly on my faith as I seek this office. I would consider it an honor to serve the City residents.
It is my goal to ensure a bright and peaceful future for all of us,using my business knowledge, as well as my love for our hometown.
Please consider voting for me, Angelena Powell.
