Fannin County Fire Department receives firework grant

PRESS RELEASE – Fannin County Fire Department would like to thank the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council for helping us obtain the fireworks grant for 2024.

The grant is partially funded from fees collected for firework stand permits. This grant paid $20,571.00 towards the purchase of equipment to support our operations and equip our new 2024 recruit class with the best equipment possible to use during their career!

We were fortunate to obtain 20 pairs of structural fire boots, 27 Bullard structural helmets, 50 protective hoods, 20 apparatus Vulcan hand lanterns and 10 hydrant bags for front line engines.
