Rebels Stomp the Warriors

 

Fannin County destroyed Gordon Central on Friday night, beating the Warriors 47-0. The Rebels were able to tally over 350 yards of offense while their defense pitched the shutout. Sophomore QB Elijah Weaver was 9/15 for 215 yards and 5 TDs while Freshman Judah Wood added another score on the ground. Corbin Davenport brought in 3 receptions for 105 yards and 3 TDs while Carson Collis also brought in 3 catches for 100 yards and 2 TDs. Davenport led the team with 189 all purpose yards in this one.

As for the defense, the Rebels combined for 8 TFL with senior Cade Sands leading the way with 3. Bryson Holloway had 2 and Cooper Born, Drake Cantrell, and Case Holloway had one each. Clay Heaton led the team with 5 tackles and was able to add an interception.

Neither Maxpreps nor Hudl had individual or team stats for Gordon Central.

Look Ahead

The Warriors are now 0-5 and will travel to Haralson (1-3), in hopes to pick up their first win of the season. Fannin now moves to 3-2 on the season and will head into their Bye, before a showdown with Model on 10/07.
