Early voting underway in Blue Ridge special election

Early voting to vill the vacate seat on the Blue Ridge City Council is currently underway at city hall. The special election voting began Monday, March 2, and runs through Friday, March 20. Voting is held between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Absentee ballots are also available during the advanced in-person voting time period. Absentee ballots are to be mailed to City Hall at 480 West First Street, Blue Ridge, Georgia, 30513.

To obtain an absentee ballot, call city hall at 706-632-2091.

The main voting day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24.

The two candidates vying for the open seat are Brian Higgins and Mike Panter.

The candidates are running to fill the Post 3 seat vacated by Ken Gaddis on Aug. 15, 2019. Gaddis left the council after moving out of the city limits.
