While East Hall came out ready to put more points on the board, Faninn’s defense was solid and made the Vikings work hard to get to the goal. The Rebels began to get scrappy on offense as they got after it and drew fouls. Natalie Thomas added six points to Fannin’s score for the night as she made a 3 pointer, followed by three foul shots. Paige Forsman followed the trend and was aggressive on the block as she drew a foul and made a free throw to add to Fannin’s score to extend their lead 49-34 to go into the fourth quarter.

In the final quarter, Fannin only allowed East Hall to score three points while the Rebels earned 11. Mackenzie Johnson showed off her hustle as she zoomed right past the defense to contribute five points to Fanni’ns score. Reagan York followed Johnson’s lead as she was scrappy and made a basket to put on the board for Fannin to close out the game with a 60-37 victory.

When asking Lady Rebel Abby Ledford about her team’s victory, she responded, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.” Fannin’s win puts their overall record at 15-8 and their region record at 6-5.
