Miles Johnson is the TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week for the Rebels!

Johnson, a senior who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs in right around 300 pounds, is a leader on the Fannin Co. boys basketball team.

A starter, Johnson’s main contributions to the team don’t always show up in the stat book, but they are the core of a team that is scrappy, resilient, and determined.

The most important of his contributions to the team is that Johnson has been voted a captain by his own teammates, a sign of respect that is earned, not given.

As a student, Johnson has a 3.8 grade point average, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a highly-touted offensive lineman who is being recruited by several schools at the next level.

The Rebels (3-4, 0-2 Region 7-AAA) earned a big win Saturday, taking down rival Union Co., 53-51, in comeback fashion.

For his efforts both on and off the court, Miles Johnson is the TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week for the Rebels!

To be considered for the TeamFYNSports Writer’s Player of the Week, a player must play in all games the team plays during that week and must not have any unsportsmanlike conduct (ejections, etc.). Stats considered for Player of the Week run from Monday through Saturday, with Player of the Week being selected Sunday each week.
