“The community has accepted me,” Ayers began, “Been here for 22 years and trying to help people. Seeing them coming, I am just overwhelmed with people coming out.”
He continued, “It’s been a pleasure watching kids grow up and helping people. That’s really been fun.”
Former resident of Taylor County, Georgia, Ayers made his home here in the North Georgia Mountains years ago. Stating the reason for his move was the excellent Fannin County school system.
Peggy Rich, member of Master Gardeners, commented to FYN, “He knows everybody in town. He has made many friends over the years. He has helped so many people in a lot of different ways. A very personable guy. A man of his word.”
