Fannin Basketball Closes Out Season With Banquet

As every high school does at the end of a sports season, Fannin County High School met in the cafeteria last Thursday to honor and recognize their basketball athletes.

With family and friends in attendance, the Athletic Department for the Fannin Rebels came together for fun, food, and of course awards.  The coaching staff for both the Lady Rebels and Rebels stepped to the podium with excitement and sadness and spoke about their respective teams.  The exciting part took place as the athletes were awarded their varsity letters, Player of the Week awards from Team FYN Sports, and the special awards in the form of plaques.  The plaque awards were for Most Improved, Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player for both girls and boys teams.

The sadness on the night was that the seniors had played their last basketball game and were attending the final banquet of their high school life.  Both players and coaches shared the same sentiment and heartfelt memories shared on and off the court.  Congratulations to all the athletes that are graduating and to all who will start getting ready for next season very soon.
