The Fannin County Young Farmers Association held a joint dinner and class with the Union County Young Farmers Association and the Blue Ridge Mountain Cattlemen’s Association on February 5 at 6:00pm at the Ag Center in Blue Ridge. The class was on Weed Control Methods in Pasture and hay fields. The classroom portion was presented by Jacob Williams the Union County Extension Agent and Eddie Ayers the Fannin County Extension Agent. Ryan Talton the Union County Young Farmers Advisor demonstrated a Super Sponge Weed Wiper that attaches onto the front of a tractor. There were 40 people in attendance. The meal was sponsored by Fannin County Young Farmers, Blue Ridge Mountain Cattlemen’s and Cohutta Pet and Feed.
