Lola Mae Patterson

December 10, 1933 – February 03, 2019

Mrs. Lola Mae Patterson, age 85, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on February 3, 2019 at the Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mark Hannah and Lela Foster Jones. Mrs. Patterson had retired from the Pruitt Health Care after 32 years of service in Housekeeping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Patterson; and one grandson, Chris Patterson.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, David and Bobbie Patterson of Cherry Log, GA and Gary and Carolyn Patterson of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and RonnieThomas of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Andy Patterson, Melissa Whitamore, Brandon Patterson, Cody Thomas, Mark Thomas and Anna Sapp; great grandchildren, Bailey Whitamore, Carly Whitamore, Sydni Thomas, Michael Sapp, Kaylee Sapp and Shawn Sutton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest and Jo Jones, Arvie Jones, and Robert and Brenda Jones all of Epworth, GA and Kenny and Brenda Jones of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Ruth Gwin of Nashville, TN and Jo Jones of Blue Ridge, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fair officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation at www.parkinsonhope.org.
