Nancy Louise Barnes, age 72, of Ducktown, TN, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. Nancy was born in Ducktown, TN to the late Cloys James and Lois Louise Payne Dilbeck. She was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church. She retired as a Registered Nurse with the Boliden Industrial Chemical Company. She had taught Licensed Practical Nursing Classes at Copper Basin Medical Center. Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Barnes and brother, Jerry Dilbeck.
She is survived by siblings, Doug (Jodie) Dilbeck, Don Dilbeck, Danny (Una Vee) Dilbeck, all of Ducktown, TN, Rev. Ronnie (Suzie) Dilbeck of Murphy, NC, Peggy Abercrombie of Blairsville, GA; Several nieces, nephews and a number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Music was by Ernest Gonzales and Mary Lou Davis. Pallbearers included Dwight Dilbeck, Tim Dilbeck, Luke Dillard, Stevie Abercrombie, Nick Dilbeck, Jake Dilbeck and Cole Dilbeck. Honorary pallbearers included the Men of the Mine City Baptist Church, Glynn Dilbeck, Jeremy Dilbeck, Larry Kimsey and David Bigham. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
