Gloria Hopkins: Obituary

Gloria Hopkins, age 66, of Copperhill, TN, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018. Gloria was born in Fulton County, GA to the late Frank Robert and Laura Frances Abercrombie Farmer, Jr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, TN and had worked as a CNA at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Solon and Jessie Abercrombie and a grandson, Kevin Waller.

She is survived by children, Jim (Gretta) Shinpaugh of McCaysville, GA, April (Thomas) Waller of Ten Mile, TN, Donna (Edward) Payne of Turtletown, TN; sister, Sheryl Snyder of Cleveland, TN; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her very special Aunt, Anita Dills along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating. Music will be by Doyle and Charlotte Letner and Carol Miles. Pallbearers include Nathan Waller, Brett Payne, Brandon Payne, Donnie Dills, Joshua Smith and Matthew Smith. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.
