Herschel “Steve” Morrow: Obituary

Herschel “Steve” Morrow, age 66, of Turtletown, TN, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018. Steve was born on February 6, 1952 in Copperhill, TN, to the late Roy James and Edward Loretta Davis Morrow. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, TN and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sgt. He enjoyed fishing as a past time.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Morgan of the home; children, Steven (Danielle) Morrow, Josh (Donja) Morrow and Jessica Foster (Josh Zried); brother, Ron (Evelyn) Morrow; nieces, Rhonda Barbosa and Christy Hatt; Grandchildren, MaKenzie Morrow, Steve Morrow, Jeremiah Morrow, Naomi Morrow, Savannah Morrow, Bryson Jackson, Jacob Morrow, Hunter Foster and Zoe Foster.

Graveside services and interment will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the Farner Presbyterian Church cemetery with full military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Memorial Services will follow on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. from the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill with Rev. Tom Reed and Rev. Jennings Neeld officiating. Music will be by Jerri Sue Massengale. Pallbearers include Josh Morrow, Steven Morrow, Josh Zried, Dean Mashburn, Nick Collins and David Pease. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Morrow may be made in his memory to a Charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill is in charge of the arrangements.
