The Fannin County Young Farmers Association hosted a Georgia Department of Agriculture Egg Candling Certification Class on April 10 in the FCHS.
Ga Department of Ag Bradley Brown taught the class. There were 4 rotations one at 8am, 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. 65 individuals received their certification which was free and is good for life. The certification allows individuals to sell eggs away from their home/farm. The class was part lecture and part hands on. It was a great event and FCYFA hopes to host another class next spring.
