Vicki Jo Seabolt, age 60, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on August 14, 2017. Born in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Monroe Rutherford and Pauline Jesse Key Rutherford. She was a member of the Kingtown Baptist Church and had attended First Baptist Church of Epworth. She had retired after nearly thirty years as a Paraprofessional for West Fannin Elementary. She loved her grandchildren and the children she taught over the years who affectionately referred to her as “Mommy Jo”.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Greg Seabolt; daughters and son-in-laws, Holly and Michael Sands and Haley and Daniel Elrod all of Blue Ridge, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Frank Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters-in-laws, Pam and Jerome Arner of Chattanooga, TN and Robin and Jerome Dockery of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Zach Sands, Victoria “Tori” Seabolt, Jake Sands, Cade Sands and Kinzlee-Rhea Elrod; several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Music will be provided by The Trio. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-9 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the West Fannin Elementary PTO c/o of United Community Bank.
