Commission Chair, Stan Helton, comes this morning to give us a quick update on Fannin County happenings. Six months in and things are going great. The fire station was the first big accomplishment he wanted to tell us about. A savings of about a million dollars with no integrity issues at all of the fire station facility. Fannin County opened a 4th fire station out at the end of Aska Road which was previously just a volunteer station. He also tells us about county roads and what the county is working towards to get the county roads in the best condition possible. They are working closely with the school transportation department, fire/EMS departments, as well as community members to keep the most important roads in good shape for the safety of the public and our children.
