| Fannin in Totality Area of Eclipse August 21:
Weekend Visitors can Receive FREE Glasses
On August 21, 2017 there will be a total eclipse of the sun that can be seen in totality in parts of the North Georgia Mountains, including the Blue Ridge area. Visitors who spend Eclipse Weekend in Fannin County at a local hotel, B & B or cabin will receive two pairs of FREE Solar Eclipse Glasses by showing their lodging receipt at the Visitor Center. Lodging providers can also pick them up for their guests in advance. Solar Eclipse Glasses are available for sale at the main visitor center for $1/pair.
