Doris Jean Beavers, age 66, of McCaysville, GA passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. Doris was born in McCaysville to the late Floyd and Barbara Pond Ballew. She was a member of the Friendship #2 Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Beavers of the home; daughters, Donna Goldberg White of McCaysville, GA, Janet Goldberg Chambers of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Rocky Ballew of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Joyce Allen of Farner, TN, Geraldine Sledge of Winter Haven, FL, Cecilia Payne of Ducktown, TN and Maxine Prince of Copperhill, TN; step-sons, Jeff Beavers and Eddie Beavers, both of Blue Ridge, GA; step daughter, Gayla Foster of McCaysville, GA; three grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service was held and interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill was in charge of arrangements.
