Albert Hoyt Green, age 74, of Morganton, GA, passed away on May 27, 2017 in the North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Born in Blue Ridge, GA, he was the son of the late Albert and Mattie Queen Green. Mr. Green had worked for a number of years as a Janitor for both the Fannin and Whitfield Counties Schools. He was a member of the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was his siblings, Robert Green, Leonard Green, J.R. Green and Joyce Lee Green.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Ray Green, of the home; children, Lee Green, Lynn and Sissy Green all of Blue Ridge, GA, Becky and Danny Denton of Tunnel Hill, GA and Stacy and Robert Franklin of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Michael green, Cody Misskelley, Austin Misskelley, Kaitlin Long, Alexis Franklin, Tyler Franklin, Jacob Denton, Leah Griggs, Sadie Ingle (Special daughter and granddaughter), Little Man Green, Abigail Denton, Kaylee Franklin and Mattie Lynn Green; brothers, Freddie and Peggy Green, James Green, Thomas Green, Wade and Lisa Green all of Blue Ridge, GA; and sisters, Evelyn Prather of Blue Ridge, GA, Mildred and Jim Ellington of Ellijay, GA and Margaret Bell of Mineral Bluff, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Kincaid and Rev. Michael Collis officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Thompson, Jackie Chastain and the grandchildren. Interment will follow in the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cody Misskelly, Austin Misskelley, Tyler Franklin, Jacob Denton, Robert Franklin, Jabo Flowers, Ralph Ostrec and Andy Chastain. Serving as an honorary escort will be Little Man Green, Kaylee Franklin, Sadie Ingle and Abigail Green.
