Students complete Engineering Pathway at FCHS and earn national certificate!

The Engineering Pathway at FCHS consists of three courses: Foundations of Engineering, Engineering Concepts, and Engineering Applications.  Students learn about the various types of engineering careers and disciplines, the engineering design process, and how to use various engineering tools such as Solidworks 3D modeling software and 3D printers.  Students design and build robots for competitions and learn to write computer programs to control the robots.  The Engineering Pathway prepares students to pursue careers in high technology fields.

At the end of the three course sequence, students take the NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) test for Engineering Technology.  Upon receiving a passing score on the test, students are awarded their national certificate.

I am very proud of these students for completing the engineering pathway at FCHS.  It is my hope that some of these students will pursue engineering degrees after high school and help change their world through their engineering ideas and designs.
