Mr. Royce Burnette, age 93 of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday morning, May 14, 2017, at Blue Ridge Assisted Living Center. Mr. Burnette was born November 19, 1923, in Epworth, GA to the late Mark Burnette and the late Burdetta Cobb Burnette. Mr. Burnette was a member of the Copperhill First United Methodist Church and a retired teacher from the Polk County School System. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda V. Burnette, brothers Ray Burnette, Redell Burnette, sisters Roberta Clement, Regent Warner and Ruby Howell.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 2:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour before the service.
