Mrs. Jean Prince Moore, age 89 of Morganton, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA. Mrs. Moore was born June 15, 1927 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Lester Prince and the late Nancy Harrison Prince. A member of Morganton Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by husband, Scott G. Moore, son, Steve Moore, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: daughter, Nancy Moore, daughter, JoAnn (Jerry) Rice, sister, Martha Helton all of Morganton, three grandchildren, Michelle (Dale) Green, Stephanie (Jeff) Davenport and Cayce Moore, four great-grandchildren, Chase (Jerrica) Green, Chasity Green, Tyler Rice and Kells Stephens, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Rice and Dr. Barry Parker officiating. Music provided by Stacey Gilreath. Interment will follow in the Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chase Green, Tyler Rice, Chuck Gilreath, Dale Green, Tommy Prince and Greg Gilreath. Honorary pallbearer is Chasity Green.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 6-9 pm. Flowers will be accepted or you can make a donation to aid with funeral expenses.
