Mrs. Ruby Lee Deal Ensley: Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Lee Deal Ensley, age 92 of Epworth, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge. Mrs. Ensley was born August 6, 1924, in Epworth, GA to the late George Washington Deal and Stella Louise Cochran Deal. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting. She loved to cook and work in the garden. Ruby liked spending time with people and talking. She had been a homemaker for the last few years but had been employed at Levi and American uniform. She was preceded in death by husband; Frank Ensley, sons; Charles Ensley and Billy Ensley, great-grandson; Jacob Mealer, son-in-law, Robert “Sonny” Greene, brothers; Hayden Deal and Clyde Deal, sisters; Irene Barnes and Josie Mae Gilbert.

She will be warmly remembered by all who knew her. But she will especially be missed by her family: sons; James “Jim” (Vondell) Ensley, Ricky Ensley, Don (Joan) Ensley, Troy (Shelby) Ensley, daughters; Mildred (Steve) McDaniel, Anita Greene, Delena (Lloyd) Barker, daughter-in-law; Lottie Ensley, brother; Rev. Lloyd Deal, caregiver; Judy Ensley, 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great- grandchildren,

Funeral services: Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmer Davenport and Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Music provided by Ed Vest. Interment will follow in Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: grandsons. Honorary pallbearers: great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home, Monday, May 1, 2017, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
